Makins
Makins recruiment
Between December and June we have vacancies for people to work within our potato business in various roles. We require hard working, enthusiastic, committed individuals to work in all areas of the business from driving fork lift trucks, to working on the receiving of goods and distribution, handling packaging for export or working on the graders sorting potatoes to working on receiving product and distribution.

Full training and equipment will be provided to help you develop within your role and ensure that you are working in a safe and efficient environment.

From mid May until October we want individuals to work in the fields picking soft fruit and also in the pack house packing strawberries and blackberries for the supermarket.

We are happy for workers to stay and work in both aspects of the business or over lap their time between the two. Those who work best and show promise will be moved into supervisory roles with greater responsibility.

The farm is located in West Yorkshire just 12 miles from Leeds and 15 miles from York. The Leeds/York railway line is a 5 minute walk from the site as is the local town, Garforth. Garforth has many amenities including a supermarket and post office.

We can offer you excellent rates of pay, consistent working hours and first class accommodation in a recently refurbished farm house or top quality, spacious static homes.
